GENOME’s Automation Assign gives you one less headache in recording and production setups. Select the parameters you want to automate and you only see these in your DAW; a handy workflow enhancement, sparing you from scrolling through GENOME’s expansive parameter library. In the following article, we’ll run through the various automation assignment options provided by GENOME.
For starters, GENOME features a range of hard-coded automation assignments that are exposed to your Digital Audio Workstation. These are for global parameters including Input Level, Input Gate Enable/Disable, Input Gate Threshold, Input Gate Soft/Hard, Output Level and more.
In addition to this, GENOME features 10 user-configurable Automation Assignments (A1-A10) allowing you to take command of virtually any parameter within any GENOME component.
Automation Assignments can be managed in 2 ways.
First, right click any parameter in your GENOME component, select “Assign to” and choose an available assignment slot; once actioned, this will be exposed to your DAW and you will be able to automate this using your DAW’s internal automation options.
Alternatively, click the Automation button within GENOME’s Rig config pane to bring up the Automation assign / un-assign window. This highlights in blue all the automatable parameters of the GENOME component you are currently editing/viewing. You are free to navigate through effects while staying in this mode - great if you want to make multiple assignments within your RIG in one hit.
Don't need an automation assignment? Either right click an assigned parameter and select un-assign, or open the Automation assign / un-assign window for batch changes and click the X icon to terminate any assignments.
