Why can’t I access my Desktop purchases on iOS (and vice versa)?
By default, Desktop and iOS purchases are platform-specific. This means that purchases made on GENOME Desktop are not automatically available on GENOME iOS, and purchases made on GENOME iOS are not automatically available on GENOME Desktop.
This applies to both:
- GENOME licenses
- Purchased Components, including DynIR™ virtual cabinets, Premium Components and FairTone packs
Why does this happen?
GENOME Desktop and GENOME iOS are treated as separate platforms. As standard:
- A GENOME Desktop or GENOME Suite Desktop license does not automatically unlock a corresponding GENOME iOS license
- A GENOME iOS or GENOME Suite iOS license does not automatically unlock a corresponding GENOME Desktop license
- Components purchased on one platform remain tied to that platform unless cross-platform access has been enabled
To use the same GENOME license and eligible purchases across Desktop and iOS, you will need an Access Pass. An Access Pass enables cross-platform access for:
- Your GENOME license
- Your eligible existing purchases
- Your eligible future purchases
This allows you to use the same setup across Desktop and iOS without needing to repurchase your library separately for each platform.
How Do I Get an Access Pass?
- For an iOS access pass (for desktop users looking to use their GENOME variant and related Component Arsenal on iOS) you can purchase an Access Pass directly from the Two notes website here.
- For a Desktop Access Pass (for iOS users looking to use their GENOME variant and related Component Arsenal on Desktop), an access pass can be purchased via an in-app purchase within the GENOME Application’s “My GENOME” page, accessed via the hamburger menu.
What happens without an Access Pass?
Without an Access Pass:
- Your GENOME license remains tied to the platform it was purchased on
- Your purchased Components remain tied to the platform they were purchased on
- Those purchases will not be accessible on the other platform
Do I need an Access Pass?
You only need an Access Pass if you want to use GENOME across both Desktop and iOS.
You do not need an Access Pass if:
- You only use GENOME on one platform
- You do not need your purchases to carry across devices
