Which headphones are the best with OPUS
OPUS allows you to play your pedalboard silently and monitor the resultant audio via compatible headphones. The level in the connected headphones is controlled by the OUTPUT LEVEL knob located on the front of the unit.
In developing OPUS, we have tested a variety of headphones inclusive of consumer-grade models and professional studio-grade monitoring solutions. Our tests were conducted with headphones rated from 25Ω to 250Ω.
Upon concluding our testing, we recommend headphones with an impedance rating between 25Ω to 80Ω for optimal results. Use of headphones within this rating range will ensure sufficient headroom for the device's volume level alongside optimal sound reproduction from the headphone output. For high impedance headphones, the monitored volume level of the device will be lower; in scenarios of this nature, OPUS is able to deliver a suitable signal level signal via the OUTPUT LEVEL knob.
NOTE: Monitoring OPUS at high volume for long periods can damage your hearing.
