Where is the GENOME and/or Wall of Sound Plug-in Located on my Computer?
Looking for the directory where GENOME or Wall of Sound has been installed? Please read on for more details for both Mac and Windows operating systems.
On Windows:
VST Plug-in: The location of the VST plug-in can be chosen during the installation. The default location is:
[64bit] C:\Program Files(x86)\Vstplugins
[32bit] C:\Program Files\Vstplugins
Please note, some DAWs modify this default location path.
- RTAS Plug-in: C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Plug-ins\
- AAX Plug-in (PT 10): C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
- AAX Plug-in (PT 11 or higher): C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
On Mac OS:
- VST Plug-in: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
- VST3 Plug-in: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
- AU Plug-in: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
- RTAS Plug-in: Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins/
- AAX Plug-in: Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/
