What Power Supply Do I Need for the Le Preamp Series?
If you wish to use a power adapter other than the one provided with your Le Preamp pedal, here are the specifications that need to be adhered to:
Voltage: 9V or 12V DC. The power supply needs to be Direct Current (DC); you cannot use an Alternating Current (AC) power supply. You have to use a regulated power supply. 12V is preferred, but 9V should be sufficient - in the instance of a 9V power supply, expect a little loss of headroom at the output stage.
Current: 500 mA or more. The Le Preamp series pedals use 500mA of electric current. Any power supply delivering less than 500mA will not be able to provide enough electric current - in this instance the unit will not function or may undergo some damage. A power supply delivering more than 500 mA can be used.
Connector: 5.5 x 2.1 mm. This is the standard-size connector for effect pedals.
Polarity: negative center. This is the most common type of polarity for effects pedals.
