Torpedo Reload II offers a myriad of connectivity options for a diverse range of applications; in specific instances, connected equipment can pose a risk to Reload II––one specific instance being an incorrectly configured Guitar cabinet with Stereo functionality.
When connecting both of Reload II’s CAB OUT outputs to a single cabinet with Dual Inputs / Stereo functionality, if applicable please ensure the cabinet’s stereo operation is engaged via a switch (or similar); failure to do so may result in unwanted audio dropouts and/or irreversible damage to Reload II’s internal power amplifier.
In some instances, a cabinet does not feature a dedicated switch for Stereo functionality; the example below from a Marshall® MR1936 2x12 cabinet simply features two inputs which when connected result in an automatic stereo configuration.
In contrast, there are cabinets available on the market that feature a dedicated switch to engage Stereo operation; a good example being the rear panel of the Marshall® 1960A cabinet shown below–In this instance, when both CAB OUT outputs of Reload II are connected to both the 8Ω Right and Left Inputs, STEREO operation must be selected via the dedicated switch.
