On an online computer Torpedo Remote can be used in two modes; below we describe these modes-of-use and how to install / open Torpedo Remote in light of the selected mode.
"Guest" Mode
In this mode you can only remotely control your Torpedo device from your computer. This mode is useful to control a device that does not belong to you. As you are not identified as the Torpedo's owner, you cannot buy (through La Boutique) and/or transfer Two notes cabinets to your device, but you can still transfer user cabinets/Static IR files in .tur, .wav & aiff format.
To install and activate Torpedo Remote in this mode:
- First, download Torpedo Remote installer here and install it
- Connect your device via USB and launch Torpedo Remote
- Once opened you will be presented with a Welcome Window. Select the "Guest" option
- Congratulations! You can now use your Torpedo Remote in Guest mode.
"Logged-in" Mode
In this mode you can not only remotely control your Torpedo device but also buy and/or transfer your Two notes DynIR Virtual cabinets tied to your Two notes account. To do so, first to register your device on to your Two notes account. If you don't have an account, you will be asked to create one during Torpedo Remote's initial launch. Creating a Two notes account grants you access to all the firmware / software updates, and La Boutique.
To install and activate Torpedo Remote in this mode:
- First, download the Torpedo Remote installer here and install it
- Connect your device via USB and launch the Torpedo Remote
- You should arrive on the Welcome Window
- If you do not have a Two Notes account, press Sign Up
- If you already have a Two Notes account, press Sign In
- You will then be asked whether you want to register your device on your account or not. Press Register to do so
- The license file and your Two Notes cabinets files will be automatically downloaded to your computer. When this operation is finished, a message windows will inform you the registration has been successful
- Congratulations! You have registered your Torpedo device and can now use Torpedo Remote in Logged-in mode
