Uninstalling GENOME from your system

GENOME - Uninstallation guide

This article gives all the steps to fully uninstall GENOME and remove all its related data from your computer.
It may also be helpful in some cases to go through a full removal of GENOME before a new installation of the software on your system.

Uninstallation guide for macOS

  • export your user presets first to avoid losing them after the clean reinstall
  • remove GENOME from your system
  • then manually delete the following folders. (The Library folders are hidden - read this article to reveal them https://www.wikihow.com/Show-Hidden-Files-and-Folders-on-a-Mac ) :
      ( hidden library)  /Users//Library/Two notes Audio Engineering/Licenses
      ( hidden library)  /Users//Library/Two notes Audio Engineering/Genome
      ( hidden library)  /Users//Library/Two notes Audio Engineering/Db
      /Users//Documents/Two notes Audio Engineering/Captures
      /Users//Documents/Two notes Audio Engineering/Genome => WARNING USER PRESETS ARE STORED HERE. Copy them before if you need  them for a later reinstallation of GENOME
      /Users//Documents/Two notes Audio Engineering/Impulses
  • Remove all GENOME related files:
      /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Genome.vst3
      /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Genome.aaxplugin
      /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/genome.component

Uninstallation guide for Windows

  • remove GENOME from your system through the SETTINGS menu "Apps-> Installed Apps" and uninstall GENOME.
  • Manually delete the following folders:
      C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Two notes Audio Engineering\Licenses
      C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Two notes Audio Engineering\Genome
      C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Two notes Audio Engineering\Db
      C:\Users\"username"\Documents\Two notes Audio Engineering\Captures
      C:\Users\"username"\Documents\Two notes Audio Engineering\Genome => WARNING USER PRESETS ARE STORED HERE. Copy them before if you need them for a later reinstallation of GENOME
      C:\Users\"username"\Documents\Two notes Audio Engineering\Impulses
  • Remove all GENOME related files located here:
      C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Genome.vst3
      C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Genome.aaxplugin
