Choosing a Power Supply for Your ReVolt Series Amp Sim
Aside from the included Power Supply for your ReVolt pedal, there are a myriad of options out there that can be used to power the unit as part of your pedalboard rig. One important consideration to mention: the PSU supplied with your ReVolt Pedal is grounded, which lowers any picked-up ambient noise drastically compared to most 3rd-party power bricks - we therefore recommend using the included power supply for optimal performance.
Idle, the ReVolt pedal draws between 510 and 530mA depending on the channel that is instantiated. This goes up by 10-15mA when playing. That is why we decided to list 600mA on the silkscreen.
However, 3rd party power supply outputs are often slightly more capable than their published specifications and most multi-output bricks with a 12VDC / 500mA tap will power the ReVolt without a hitch.
The following 3rd-party power supplies have been noted as being compatible with the ReVolt Series Pedals:
- Cioks Sol
- Cioks DC7
- Voodoo Lab Power 3
- Voodoo Lab Power 3 Plus
